Early Literacy and Focus on Phonics should be taken first as prerequisites to Learning Disabilities.

This course is designed to familiarize the classroom teacher with learning disabilities that interfere with the reading, writing and math processing. Topics to be discussed: Visual and Auditory Processing Disorders, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia.  

Prerequisite courses are Early Literacy and Focus on Phonics.

This course is approved for one (1) CEU.

 

Participants need to park in the parking spaces near Naomi Gilbreth Pavilion which is #23 on the attached map. The easiest way for participants to enter campus and get to the parking area is to enter the Oakbrook entrance and follow Pike Lane around to the right and take the 2nd exit on the roundabout. There is parking between buildings #25 and #23. The class will be in the upper level of the Fincher Student-Family Center which is build #15.
