Early Literacy must be taken as a prerequisite to Focus on Phonics.

Focus on Phonics is designed to teach phoneme to grapheme correspondence, rules, spelling generalizations, and syllabication. Focus on Phonics provides teachers with the knowledge and strategies to effectively teach sound-symbol relationship, the rules that govern our language and the explicit, systematic way to instruct.

The required book for this class is included in the cost of the course.

The East Meeting Room is on the corner of the 1500 Building. The 1500 Building is GAC’s administration building, across the street from the main GAC campus, and right next to Starbucks.

*** From I-85, turn East on Indian Trail Lilburn Road. QuikTrip will be on your left, and after the light, the GAC campus will be on your right. Go past the main campus entrance and turn left at the next light, Georgia Belle. Turn into the left entrance. You will be facing the East Meeting Room.
