This course is designed to educate teachers on the characteristics of students with ASD emphasizing the DSM-V definition. In addition, methodologies of instruction including visual supports, structured teaching, direct instruction and ABA will be discussed. Finally, this course will help teachers match specific strategies to the students with ASD in their classes.
