The Complete Reading Series
This series includes the following courses. Early Literacy, Focus on Phonics, Comprehension, Words for the Wise, Learning Disabilities that Interfere with Reading and Written Expression, and Understanding Dyslexia. Early Literacy must be taken first. The Complete Reading Series is a 65 hour comprehension training designed to empower educators to know what is needed to teach reading, writing and spelling and to know what is missing in the reading program they are currently using. The CRS will guide teachers on how to pull together all the training they have received to create a cohesive reading program. The Complete Reading Series fulfills all components for a balanced reading program.

Orton Gillingham Training
This course will provide an overview of: the development of written language, recent relevant research information, and techniques to incorporate knowledge of phonology, morphology, semantics, syllabication, and syntax into multi-sensory teaching of reading, writing, and spelling. It is designed for teachers, tutors and home school parents, who are working with students who have difficulty acquiring basic written language skills through traditional basal or whole language methods. The method and materials presented will be appropriate for a wide age and grade level range of students.
This course is taught in compliance with The Orton-Gillingham Academy of Practitioners and Educators.
Wilson: Introductory Workshop
This 15-hour workshop provides an overview of the Wilson Reading System curriculum and serves as the prerequisite for WRS Level I certification.
At the completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Define dyslexia and describe common characteristics
Explain the process of identifying appropriate students and placing them in WRS
Understand WRS principles of instruction: explicit, sequential, and cumulative instruction; multisensory instruction, repetition, and feedback
Create a learning environment, prepare a lesson plan, and practice techniques
Note: Introductory Workshop (completed within the last five years) serves as the prerequisite for Wilson Academy® / Intensive Learning Community Membership and WRS Level I Certification. WRS Level I Certification is offered to individuals at various locations across the country. Sites are offered based on trainer availability. Orton Gillingham Math
This course is designed to provide teachers with the following : a hands-on approach to teaching math skills to students preschool through middle school, support teachers in integrating Orton Gillingham Multisensory Math with the current math curriculum being used in the classroom, teach the concepts of the four primary operations using a hands-on approach, differentiate math instruction, and develop a lesson plan using multi sensory strategies.
