Georgia Educational Training Agency joins Holy Spirit Preparatory Academy and St. Benedict’s Episcopal School in  following  the State’s recommendations for social distancing during all of our professional development  classes.  Please bring your personal hand sanitizer and kleenexes with you to class.  Please use masks and gloves at your own discretion.  Breaks will be every hour.  

Early Literacy and Focus on Phonics should be taken first as prerequisites to Understanding Dyslexia.

The National Institutes of Health state that dyslexia affects 15% of the population. It is often misdiagnosed. Signs of Dyslexia may include the following: slow in acquiring reading skills, omits, substitutes and guesses at words, oral reading is slow and laborious, does not like to read, disastrous spelling, messy handwriting, and trouble reading math word problems. Specific signs of dyslexia will vary from person to person. If this sounds like someone you know we invite you to please join us as we discuss dyslexia and solutions for your struggling reader.

Prerequisite courses are Early Literacy and Focus on Phonics.
